Growing out of a sermon on Hebrews 13:15, this book is a short biography of Paul Schneider, the first member of the clergy murdered by the Nazi regime. The book notes his family background and his early attraction to liberal Christianity (and even the rising National Socialist German Workers Party) before celebrating his conversion to Christ and tracing the powerful ministry that it unleashed. After chronicling the suffering Schneider endured at the hands of the Nazis, culminating in his death in the Buchenwald concentration camp, the book concludes by offering four suggestions on how his witness can serve as an example for us today.
