Domestic violence plagues celebrities

Domestic violence plagues many households in the world. Victims can be men or women. Men are generally the first to be blamed as they are physically stronger than women. But there have been cases of women charged with domestic violence as well. 'Two and a Half Men' fans have heard about Charlie Sheen's stay in an Aspen jail over Christmas. Reports that are still filtering in the media say that the couple has been having problems since the birth of their twins. His wife Brooke Mueller was renting a home in Aspen and Sheen flew in to spend the holidays with the family. They got into an altercation and the police were called. Latest reports from TMZ show that Mueller was legally drunk and Sheen was not. Earlier this year Chris Brown was charged with domestic violence against now ex girlfriend Rhianna. That story was recently brought back into the limelight with interviews from both Rhianna and Brown on primetime television. Scott Drake interviews Judge Eugene M. Hyman is a judge of the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara (San Jose) where, for 18 years, he has presided over cases in the criminal, civil, probate, family, and delinquency divisions of the court. Charlie Sheen faces jail for domestic violence

US Actor Charlie Sheen is facing a 30 day jail sentence for assaulting his wife in Aspen, Colorado last year.
Following an argument on Christmas Day, Brooke Mueller Sheen alleged her husband had held a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her.
Sheen pleaded not guilty to menacing, misdemeanour assault and criminal mischief earlier this year, but will reportedly now enter a plea of no contest.
Having reached a deal with Colorado authorities Sheen will seek a 30 day sentence.
Brooke is Sheen's third wife, having divorced actress Denise Richards acrimoniously in 2006.
After taking a hiatus from hit sitcom Two and a Half Men in order to enter rehab, Sheen is now due to return to the show, for which he was named US TV's highest paid star in 2008.

Charlie Sheen divorces third wife, Brooke Mueller

Charlie Sheen has divorced his wife Brooke Mueller after just two years, making this the star's third failed marriage.
The couple separated around Christmas time last year, after Sheen allegedly assaulted Mueller.
The pair, who have twin boys, were thought to be trying to fix their marriage, but it would seem they have decided to part ways.
Celebrity website TMZ claims to have obtained the Hollywood couple's divorce documents. They allege that Mueller, 32, will receive $55,000 a month in child support and will have primary custody of the boys.
Sheen, star of the hit TV series Two And a Half Men, also has two daughter with actress Denise Richards, and according to the website, the divorce documents state that 'under no circumstances shall the child support paid by Charlie for Bob and Max, be less than the child support paid by Charlie to Denise Richards for Sam and Lola'.
The actor has just signed a deal to return to the sitcom for another two years at a reported $1.78 million per episode.
